It was easy to put together - just follow the instructions - and it works really well, holding long logs securely during sawing. I have only used it with a manual bow saw, not a chain saw, and I have been delighted with it. It actually makes sawing logs quite good fun, which is always the mark of a good tool. Strongly recommended.

Silverline log saw horse - excellent!Review date: 2010-07-10 Rating: 10 out of 10I wanted an inexpensive saw horse that would hold my logs securely at a good height so that I would not have a sore back (I'm 6 foot tall) and this one fits the bill. It is self assembly but is straightforward to build, although the instructions could be clearer. It is strong and robust. I am glad I bought it and am happy to recommend it.terrible company.. The package containing the nuts & bolts was open and missing plenty of the pieces listed, the horse itself had 2 of its rubber feet missing.. can't say for sure whats going on with this set-up but it leaves alot to be desired.
I decided to just replace what was missing and use the damned thing rather than send it back, and the horse itself is fine for what I need (handsawing up firewood), but the company supplying this device will not be getting penny one from me again.

Its brilliant, just like a third hand, I would recommend this to anybody using a chainsaw, it makes cutting so much easier and safer. Also suitable for hand saw use, but it is quite large.
Quality of the horse is fine, easy to assemble, and it folds up, but you need a shed to store it away!
Dont know why I didnt buy one years ago!
A little tip if you use a chain saw - the horse is made of metal so if your saw chain hits the rail it can blunt, so I just attached a piece of batten to the cross rail, by electrical tape, so when you hit this having cut thru your wood you have a good chance of not doing any damage to horse or your saw.
