To me it's unforgivable. Other than that the drill is pretty good, but I feel strongly about this--so 1 star. Basically, if you forget about this drill when you're charging it your house could be burned down. I don't care what any comments say, that's not acceptable. People might say: "well don't forget the drill then". That's not the point-- "IF" if you do your house could be burned to the ground. The technology for automatic cutoff is simply, and really really inexpensive to add. It's not a premium feature, it's a matter of product safety. Unfortunately the proceedure for obtaining a replacement, necessitates me paying the returns postage costs, which I will not do and feel is unjust and unfair.
