Pretty goodReview date: 2010-08-21 Rating: 6 out of 10This is a good product; the chuckless bit securing mechanism is a very good idea and works well. The speed control is effective and intuitive and gives the user a high degree of control. Whilst it is fine for light drilling (for example into wood), if lacks the 'grunt' required for heavier duty jobs. Fine for me as it is a secondary drill to augment my mains powered Black and Decker (10 years old and still excellent!) but best to avoid if you need it for more difficult jobs. A knowledgeable friend of mine says 18V is the minimum requirement for a serious battery powered drill.

Too heavy and torque control immoveableReview date: 2010-07-09 Rating: 2 out of 10I bought this because I am disabled and find it hard to turn screws. I also need an electric drill as I can no longer use my hand drill. I bought this because other reviewers said it was lightweight, but it is far too heavy for me. Also no matter how hard I tried I could not get the torque control to turn to the screwdriver setting. It was very hard to turn the hammer setting control too. Have had to learn to do the minor repairs myself as husband now unwell. Fed up with getting the cable out for his electric drills. Does just what I want. Only problem is that I have very small hands and have quite a problem removing the battery. For heavy jobs battery is not a good solution but required direct and consistent power.
